About me

My name's Jade, I'm a half french half Chinese digital artist living in Australia. 

I've been drawing my whole life and got my taste for fine art in private art classes when I was a child back in Paris, France. When I finished high school I went to the China Central Academy of fine Arts in Beijing to study the technical aspect of fine art in depths. I was lucky enough to be taken under the wing of renown painter Master He Yu, who, very patiently, taught me to understand perspective, shading, colour blocking and a thing or two about realism. 

My career as an artist took a swing when I moved to Australia for the first time and focused my attention on charity work. I went back to France a year later with the intention to devote myself to Humanitarian work and Ocean conservation. 5 years in the French Red Cross and multiple projects later, I emerged with a Masters of International Project Management. 

Art never left my side, and though I thought I had let it go for a while, it kept creeping back into my life. I grew very passionate for tattoo designs, illustrations, and started doing private commissions for fun online, mostly heroic fantasy character design for players of Dungeons and Dragons. 

My love for this work grew, and before I knew it I was devoted to art again. I now work as a full time freelance artist between private commissions and studio hires. 
Storyboarding, comic book design, character design, costume design, concept art and more are the projects that excite me the most. I can adapt my style and work in different mediums and programs (Photoshop cc, Toonboon, Storyboarder ...) and love a good creative challenge.
